ATX DAO Public Art Initiative:

Empowering Austin Artists With Web3

Our mission: Showcasing Crypto Projects that Improve and Benefit all of Austin

Austin is a great place to call home, but our recent population boom is driving up rent and cost of living for everyone. Many of the local artists and cultural creators that make this place great are not receiving enough funding to justify staying in the city.

This is where ATX DAO can help:

  1. We’ve created a Public Art Fund to commission works by local artists in their original medium.

  2. We help the artist digitize the art into an NFT and sell it online.

  3. NFT mint proceeds are split between the artist (50%), an art charity (25%), and the ATX DAO Public Art Fund (25%) to commission the next artist.

  4. Austin is more beautiful with murals and art around town, and citizens have a new method to engage with local artists.

By purchasing a mural NFT, you’re making art happen in Austin!

The First Mural:

The first mural for this initiative, titled “Here We Go”, was painted by ER. on June 1, 2022. It is located at Native Bar & Cafe in downtown Austin.

ATX DAO has used a high-resolution camera to scan the mural and convert it into a 3D Augmented Reality NFT! If you purchase this NFT, you will be supporting local artist ER., HOPE Campaign (Austin 501c3 art charity), and sustaining the ATX DAO Public Art Fund for creating the next piece of art.
